The MorE 4x4 steel gearbox skid plate for the Volkswagen Amarok (models from model year 2023 onwards) offers high-strength protection for one of your pick-up's most important and expensive mechanical components. While the front section is usually protected first, the gearbox area in the middle of the vehicle is often subjected to extreme stress in rough terrain, on expeditions, or in tough work environments.

The new VW Amarok impresses with modern drive technology and high comfort. However, those who use it properly in heavy terrain, in forests, on construction sites, or on overland tours expose the central gearbox area to great risks. When driving over crests, rocky paths, hard embankment edges, or massive tree stumps in undergrowth, this area is unprotected. If the pick-up hits hard here, there is a risk of cracks in the gearbox housing, deformation of the mounts, and fatal oil loss - leading to extremely expensive consequential damage to the automatic transmission system.

This vehicle-specific underbody protection perfectly closes this safety gap. The smooth surface also ensures that the vehicle glides over obstacles flatly in an emergency, instead of getting stuck. Thanks to the well-thought-out design, this skid plate can be mounted completely independently and separately, without necessarily having to install the remaining plates of the underbody system (such as the front engine guard).
