While the foremost radiator section absorbs the initial impact, the heavy 3.0L V6 Diesel engine assembly including the oil pan and the automatic transmission are located directly behind it and require uncompromising protection from below in tough terrain. This skid plate specifically covers two essential components simultaneously: the engine and the main transmission.

Those who drive the vehicle – especially with the high-torque, but heavy 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel – appropriately over rocky trails, through deep ruts, in forestry operations, or on demanding overland tours, expose the underside to enormous risks due to the higher weight on the front axle. An careless impact on sharp-edged rocks, massive tree stumps, or a hard bottom-out on blocked paths can tear the engine oil pan or damage the transmission housing. This leads to immediate oil loss and catastrophic mechanical damage to the drivetrain and engine, resulting in extremely expensive repairs.

This vehicle-specific combination underbody protection perfectly closes this critical safety gap under your Gladiator. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, this skid plate can be mounted completely independently and separately, without necessarily requiring the remaining plates of the front or rear underbody system (such as the radiator or transfer case protection) to be installed.

⚠️ Important compatibility note: This skid plate is precisely adapted for Jeep Gladiator JT models from model year 2019 with the 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel (CRD). This plate is not suitable for other engine variants (such as the 3.6L Pentastar V6 gasoline engine) due to altered mounting points, engine oil pan geometries, and exhaust system routing.
