The MorE 4x4 steel transfer case skid plate for the Toyota Land Cruiser (J120 series – long wheelbase & J125 – short wheelbase) offers high-strength protection for one of the most important mechanical components of your all-wheel drive system. While the front section is usually protected first, the transfer case is structurally located relatively low and unprotected above the driveshaft outputs in the center of the vehicle.

The Land Cruiser 120 is known for its immense durability, but those who use it in tough terrain, on overlanding trips, or for demanding work in the forest expose the vehicle to extreme dangers, particularly in the middle underbody area. When driving over crests, rocky forest paths, hard embankment edges, or massive tree stumps, the center of the vehicle is highly vulnerable. If the heavy all-wheel-drive vehicle hits hard here, there is a risk of cracks or fractures in the delicate aluminum housing of the transfer case, damage to the actuator unit for the differential lock, and fatal oil loss – which immediately paralyzes the entire all-wheel drive system and results in extremely expensive repair costs.

This vehicle-specific underbody protection perfectly closes this safety gap. The smooth surface also ensures that in an emergency, the vehicle glides smoothly over obstacles instead of getting stuck. Thanks to the well-thought-out design, this skid plate can be mounted completely independently and separately, without necessarily having to install the rest of the underbody system plates (such as the front engine or transmission protection).
