Prepare the suspension of your first-generation Ford Maverick for regular off-road use, high payloads and sustained heavy loads. Soft or worn rubber can allow additional movement at the front control arms, rear axle links, Panhard rod and anti-roll bars.
This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty polyurethane kit renews the main front- and rear-suspension mounting points.
The firmer PU deforms less than aged rubber under braking, drive and lateral forces. This can help the front control arms and rear axle links retain their intended position more consistently under load.
The firmer connection can also transmit more impacts, noise and vibration to the chassis and body.
At the front upper control arms, remove only the old rubber and retain the original outer metal shell in the arm. Inspect all arms, bolts and mounts for wear or deformation, clean the contact surfaces and use the supplied grease.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
