The Lada Niva uses numerous relatively small suspension bushes that work together to locate the front and rear suspension and both anti-roll bars. When these rubber bushes become soft or worn, play can accumulate across several mounting points.
This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty off-road polyurethane kit renews the bushes in the front and rear suspension links, rear Panhard rod and anti-roll bars. It is intended for Niva vehicles used frequently off road or under increased loads.
Rubber deforms at every mounting point under load, and this movement often increases with age. The firmer polyurethane retains its shape more consistently and can reduce the accumulated play across the control arms, rear Panhard rod and anti-roll bars.
This can provide more defined front- and rear-suspension response during steering, load changes and axle articulation. The firmer specification can, however, reduce ride comfort and noise isolation.
Remove the old bushes completely and clean all mounting points thoroughly. Use the supplied assembly grease on the specified contact surfaces. Suspension and axle-location work should be carried out professionally, and all fasteners should be rechecked after installation.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
