Renew the front and rear control-arm bushes on your Mercedes G-Class for demanding off-road use and high payloads. The control arms transfer braking and drive forces and locate both axles longitudinally; their mounts are therefore subjected to substantial loads.

This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty polyurethane kit covers the listed mounting points on all control arms and deforms less under load than aged rubber or the orange standard version.

More stable longitudinal axle location

Soft or worn rubber can allow additional control-arm movement during braking and load changes. The firmer PU limits this deformation and can guide the axles more consistently under high loads.

The trade-off can be increased transfer of impacts, noise and vibration to the chassis and body. The Panhard rods, joints, steering and remaining suspension components should also be inspected.

Installation note
