Renew the front and rear Panhard-rod bushes on your Mercedes G-Class for demanding off-road use and high payloads. Soft or worn rubber can allow the axles to move laterally more heavily during steering, braking and load changes.

This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty polyurethane kit covers four mounting points and is available in either a 37 or 41 mm outside diameter.

Important size selection

The kit contains four bushes in the same selected size. Measure the existing bushes on both the front and rear Panhard rods. If different sizes are fitted front and rear, one set will not cover all four positions and two sizes are required.

More stable lateral axle location

The firmer PU limits lateral deformation at the Panhard-rod mounts more strongly. This can help retain axle position under high payloads and demanding off-road use. It is not a universal cure for steering shimmy; tyres, joints, wheel bearings, steering and suspension geometry must also be in good condition.

The firmer connection can transmit more impacts, noise and vibration to the chassis and body.

Installation note

Inspect both Panhard rods and their mounts for deformation, corrosion and elongated holes. Check all fasteners and axle position professionally after installation.
