Renew the front anti-roll-bar and link bushes on your Mercedes G-Class for demanding off-road use and high suspension loads. Soft or worn rubber can allow additional movement at the chassis mounts and links before the bar's force is fully transferred.
This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty polyurethane kit is available for either a 29 or 32 mm front anti-roll bar.
Measure the diameter directly on the cleaned anti-roll bar, not on the old bush. Rust, dirt or thick paint can distort the reading.
The firmer PU limits deformation at the chassis mounts and links more strongly than aged rubber. This can transfer anti-roll-bar movement more directly under high loads.
The firmer connection can also transmit more noise and vibration to the chassis and body. Defective links or damaged retaining brackets must be replaced separately.
Inspect the anti-roll bar, retaining brackets, links and fasteners for wear or deformation. Clean all mounting surfaces and install the bushes without preload.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
