The MorE 4x4 steel tank guard plate for the Toyota Land Cruiser J120 (long wheelbase / 5-door) offers high-strength protection for one of the most vulnerable components on long overland tours and in rough terrain. While the front part of the underbody is usually protected first, the large-volume fuel tank on the long wheelbase is located in the rear side area and covers a large, unprotected surface.

The Land Cruiser 120 is an outstanding expedition and travel vehicle. However, anyone who uses it appropriately in difficult terrain, in forests, or on long journeys exposes the tank to enormous risks. When overcoming crests, sliding sideways along deep ruts, driving over sharp-edged rocks, or massive tree stumps in the undergrowth, the underside of the tank is unprotected. Since the original factory tank protection usually consists only of thin sheet metal, it deforms immediately upon hard impact. In the worst case, the tank can be punctured – leading to acute fuel loss, the abrupt end of the journey, and massive environmental damage.

This vehicle-specific underride protection perfectly closes this security gap. The smooth surface of the protective plate also ensures that the heavy all-wheel-drive vehicle slides smoothly over obstacles in an emergency, instead of getting caught on stones or roots with the tank. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, this protective plate can be mounted completely independently and separately, without necessarily requiring the other plates of the underbody system (such as the front engine or transmission protection) to be installed.

⚠️ Important compatibility note: This protective plate is specially designed for the long wheelbase (5-door / J120 model). This plate is not suitable for the short 3-door (J125) due to the altered frame and tank geometry. It is suitable for all engine types (such as the 3.0 D-4D diesel or the 4.0L V6 petrol).
