On the Toyota Land Cruiser 70/73, the control arms and Panhard rods locate the solid axles under braking, drive and lateral forces. Soft or worn rubber bushings can allow additional longitudinal and lateral axle movement.

This blue Heavy-Duty 85 Shore A kit renews the listed mounting points on the front and rear axles. It is intended for vehicles regularly used off-road, with high payloads or under sustained heavy loads.

Measure before ordering

Measure the width of the existing frame-side bushings or control-arm mounts on the front and rear axles. The selected version determines the 35 or 40 mm mounting positions included in the kit.

More stable axle location under high loads

The harder PU deforms less under braking, drive and lateral forces than ageing rubber. This allows the control arms to locate the axles more precisely longitudinally and the Panhard rods laterally.

The firmer mounting can also transmit more impacts, noise and vibration to the frame and body.

Installation note

Inspect the control arms, Panhard rods, bolts and mounting points for corrosion, elongated holes or deformation. After installation, have axle position and suspension geometry checked professionally.
