Renew the key suspension mounting points on an Opel Frontera A with rear leaf springs or an Isuzu Trooper I. Worn original rubber can allow the front control arms, rear leaf springs and anti-roll bar to move more than intended.

This orange 75 Shore A polyurethane kit covers the listed front and rear suspension bushes and is designed for road use, overland travel, work duties and mixed off-road driving.

Why replace aged rubber?

Aged rubber can deform more under braking, cornering and payload forces. Polyurethane retains its shape better and can locate the front control arms more precisely while allowing the leaf springs and shackles to guide the rear axle more consistently around their intended pivot points.

The final result also depends on the condition of the control arms, spring bolts, shackles, anti-roll-bar mounts, dampers and other suspension parts.

• Front lower control arms: 2 PU bushes and 2 metal sleeves
• Frame-side front lower control-arm mounts: 2 PU bushes and 2 metal sleeves
• Front upper control arms: 4 regular concentric PU bushes
• Rear leaf-spring front mounts: 2 PU bushes and 2 metal sleeves
• Rear leaf-spring and shackle mounts: 8 PU bushes
• Front anti-roll bar: 2 PU bushes

Installation note

Inspect the arms, spring bolts, shackles, anti-roll bar and mounts for corrosion, scoring or deformation. Remove the old bushes completely, clean the contact surfaces and finally tighten the leaf-spring fasteners at normal ride height.
