Upgrade the key suspension mounting points on an Opel Frontera A with rear leaf springs or an Isuzu Trooper I for demanding off-road and high-load use. Worn original rubber can allow the front control arms, rear leaf springs and anti-roll bar to move more than intended.

This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty polyurethane kit renews the listed front and rear suspension bushes and is designed for vehicles regularly used off road, at high payloads or under sustained heavy loads.

More stable wheel and axle location

The firmer PU deforms less than aged rubber under braking, cornering and payload forces. This can locate the front wheels more precisely and let the leaf springs and shackles guide the rear axle more consistently around their intended pivot points.

The firmer mounting can transmit more impacts, noise and vibration to the chassis and body. Worn spring bolts, shackles, joints or deformed control arms must be replaced separately.

Installation note

Inspect the arms, spring bolts, shackles, anti-roll bar and mounts for corrosion, scoring or deformation. Remove the old bushes completely, clean the contact surfaces and finally tighten the leaf-spring fasteners at normal ride height.
