A Toyota Land Cruiser 90/95 with a high payload, heavy touring build or regular off-road use places substantially greater loads on its suspension bushings than normal road driving. Soft or worn rubber bushings allow additional movement of the control arms and rear axle under these forces.
This complete blue 85 Shore A kit renews the mounting points at the front and rear suspension, including the Panhard rod and anti-roll bars. The Heavy Duty setup deforms less than the orange standard version and prioritises precise control over maximum comfort.
Aged rubber can deform significantly under braking, drivetrain and lateral forces. This changes the position of the control arms, trailing arms and axle. The firmer polyurethane used in this version deforms less and can help keep suspension geometry more consistent under load.
This can provide more defined responses to steering inputs and load changes off road and with high payloads. In return, impacts, noise and vibration may be transmitted more noticeably than with softer bushings.
Different rear anti-roll-bar diameters were fitted. Measure the outside diameter of the bar directly in the bushing area. Model year and engine alone are not sufficient for a reliable selection.
Remove the old bushings completely and clean the mounting points. Use the supplied assembly grease on the specified contact surfaces. Suspension and axle-location work should be carried out professionally, and all fasteners should be checked afterwards.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
